Madison Desk — JMM / José Martínez Medina
Design & Concept
Madison is an executive / directional desk that combines refined materials and striking geometry with generous proportions. Designed by José Martínez Medina, it aims to make a powerful impression while offering excellent functionality. Key features include an extra-long full-width drawer (with decorative front-board), an upholstered working surface, and a strong structural base using metal frames with three inclined legs. It’s meant to balance elegance and utility for senior leadership spaces.
Materials & Finishes
The desktop working area is upholstered in Tech-Leather (a technical leather) for both tactile comfort and visual luxury.
The top (outside the upholstered zone) is available in wood veneer or micro-texturized lacquer finish.
The full-length drawer that runs the length of the table is finished in Tech-Leather on top and bottom, while the side boards of the drawer are in either natural wood veneer or lacquer.
The support base consists of two metal structures each with three inclined legs. The metal base finishes are gloss chrome or black-nickel.
Dimensions & Variants
A standard size is 240 × 100 × 75 cm (Length × Depth × Height).
There are alternate versions / modules:
• Madison Legs — basic desk form with the metal base legs.
• Madison Legs & Mix, Madison Legs & Ala, Madison ARC — these are variations in shape / extension / curved top for different spatial or stylistic needs. For example, Madison ARC version is larger (e.g. ~ 325 × 118 cm) for conference or large executive spaces.
Functional Features
The full-length drawer gives substantial, discreet storage along the entire span of the desk — helpful for keeping documents or devices organized.
The possibility of electrification (power outlet integration) via the “Konex” power module is offered as an option, enabling built-in power / charging without clutter.
Aesthetic & Experience
The visual tone is strong, contemporary, luxurious. Upholstered leather surfaces add richness; metal base with inclined legs gives lightness and architectural character.
The combination of wood / lacquer / leather / metal finishes allows clients to select tones (wood species, lacquer colours, leather shades, metal finishes) to match their branding, interior design, or ambience.
The geometry (inclined legs, long drawer) gives both stability and drama. The desk stands as a centerpiece in executive or private office areas.
Positioning & Suitability
Best suited for senior leadership / C-suite offices, boardrooms, luxury home offices, or spaces where presentation, materiality, and branding are important.
Requires generous space due to its length and depth—needs room for leg-space under the desk, perhaps meeting chairs around, and clearance for cable and electrification options.
Because of its built-in drawer, leather top, and finish options, maintenance and cleaning are relevant — leather care, finishing durability of lacquer / wood, handling metal finish.
