Siena Desk — i4 Mariani

Design & Concept
The Siena Desk embodies a balance of elegance and structure. Its form is conceptually simple but artfully composed: the worktop gracefully bends on one side, transforming into a supporting structure (leg), while on the other side it is anchored by a substantial volume. This play of bending surfaces vs. solid volume gives Siena a sculptural presence as much as functional utility.
Created by designers Ludovica + Roberto Palomba, Siena introduces for i4 Mariani a refined stylistic language, especially notable in the combination of natural materials (wood, leather) with lacquer finishes.

Materials & Finishes

The top / desktop can be in wood veneer, lacquered wood, or melamine panels.
Saddle leather (various grades) is used both as a surface covering detail and in some structural elements, adding tactile luxury and contrast to the wood.
The supporting leg (where the top bends) is constructed with beech plywood (curved moulding), veneered or covered with leather or lacquer, depending on the finish.
Finishes and options include multiple leather/saddle‐leather colours (“CF”, “CV”, “CS” series), veined walnut or other natural wood types, and lacquer shades for those versions.

Dimensions & Variants

Standard height: ≈ 74 cm

Width / Depth: multiple versions, for example:

220 × 120 cm
Smaller home / home-office version: e.g. 160 × 80 cm
Depending on configuration, the desk’s return or support volume (on one side) adds to the visual mass and functionality.

Functional Features & Experience

The sculptural bending of the top into a support not only gives visual drama, but also allows the desk to feel more open on one side, balancing weight and space.
The solid volume on the opposite side (leg / cabinetry) can act as storage + structural support, giving both stability and a place for organizing desk accessories.
Materials like saddle leather and polished or matte lacquers give a mix of luxurious texture and modern surface finish — important for both tactile feel and visual appeal.
The desk is available in variants suited for executive or home-office usage. The flexibility in finishes and size allows adaptation to different interior styles (modern, contemporary, luxury).

Positioning
Siena is clearly positioned as a high-end executive desk: for leadership offices, designer spaces, luxury homes, or high-profile client-facing environments. It’s not just a place to work — it’s a statement piece, reflecting sophistication, craftsmanship, and refined taste. It works especially well in interiors where materials, texture, and form will be appreciated (e.g., wood floors, art, natural light).
