Design & Concept
The Larus Desk is part of Della Rovere’s Larus collection, created by the design firm Studio Stramigioli Associati. It is an “executive-/directional” desk, designed not simply as furniture but as a statement — combining architectural form with functional versatility. The collection offers over 200 possible combinations by mixing and matching tops, legs, brackets, returns/extensions and service elements, enabling it to be tailored to a wide range of office layouts and design aesthetics.
Materials & Finishes
The desk tops are available in premium wood finishes such as Natural Walnut (Noce Naturale), Dark Oak (Rovere Scuro), as well as lighter wood textures or veneer options.
Some variants include glass elements or glass-top surfaces to add expressive contrast.
Fine detailing, such as oriented “gull-wing” style legs or sculptural supports, give the desk both visual interest and a sense of elevated craftsmanship.
Features & Functionality
The Larus Desk includes returns / “with return” options, allowing the desk to be L-shaped or have an extended work surface on one side, which improves organization and ergonomics.
Cable management is built in: the top may be furnished with one or more pre-cut holes (passe-câble) for wiring, and there are modesty panels / cable-way provisions to keep technology discreet and organized.
Large surface area options: for example, dimensions such as 255 × 210 cm or 275 × 210 cm with curved side depths (front depth ~90 cm, side curve ~45-55 cm) help provide ample workspace.
Dimensions & Customization
Height is typically ~75 cm.
Width / length and depth have multiple standard options (e.g. 255×210 cm or 275×210 cm for the version with return).
Wide choice of finishes (woods, laminates / melamines, glass, sometimes lacquer or textured finishes) and different leg/bracket styles to suit both classic and modern office interiors.
Brand & Quality
“Made in Italy.” Della Rovere is known for combining traditional joinery / craftsmanship with modern industrial production, ensuring consistent quality.
Delivery / lead time: as with many custom-finish, large modular/designer desks, expect lead times in the order of 4-8 weeks depending on configuration.
Experience & Positioning
Larus is designed to be more than a utility desk — it’s a defining piece for executive offices, boardrooms, or design-forward workspaces. Its formal presence, the opportunities for customization, and the quality of materials make it ideal for environments where appearances, comfort, and functionality all matter. It can anchor a workspace, create zones (with returns or extensions), and reflect a company’s personality of sophistication, precision, and attention to detail.
