Arkitek Desk — Actiu (Alegre Design)
Design & Concept
Arkitek is built around an architectural vision: to create desks/tables that are both sculpturally striking and functionally flexible. It uses organic lines and forms that convey a contemporary, avant-garde character while maintaining structural robustness. It aims to meet the needs of modern executives, meeting spaces, workstations, and collaborative environments.
Materials & Structure
The structure/frame is entirely aluminium: legs, beams, supports are extruded or moulded aluminium, providing strength, rigidity, and a premium, lightweight feel.
Top surfaces can vary: laminates / melamine (MFC), compact laminates, high-density engineered wood, or glass. There is also a variation with Dekton® surface, offering an ultra-compact, architectural material.
Finishes: many options for frame and top finishes—e.g. silver/aluminized, white, black, polished, chrome, etc.
Functional Features
Cable management is well considered: there are cable channels, large capacity cable trays, flip-up aluminium doors for access to cables. These help keep surfaces clean and functional.
Adjustable feet / levellers: moulded aluminium levellers with anti-slip pads ensure stability and permit minor adjustments for uneven floors.
Configurability: multiple top sizes, ability to combine with storage blocks or filing units; desks can be configured for individual work, executive use, meeting tables or benches.
Dimensions & Variants
Standard desk height is about 74.5 cm (≈ 29.3 in) using the levellers.
Sizes are flexible: different widths & depths depending on need. There are rectangular tops, meeting-table formats.
Frames are offered in several finishes; top materials likewise with multiple finish options (laminate, wood veneer, glass, Dekton), enabling customisation.
Aesthetic & Brand Positioning
Visual identity is sleek, elegant, minimal yet expressive: aluminium gives a refined industrial precision; organic softening in form prevents the design from feeling cold or machine-like.
The variation in finishes (e.g. glass, Dekton, wood surfaces) lets the desk adapt to interiors that are modern, luxury, high-tech, or even mixed aesthetic.
It positions well in spaces that want to show design thought: executive suites, boardrooms, high-end workspaces, or architecture/design-driven offices. It sends a message of contemporary luxury + professional calibre.
Sustainability & Standards
Use of environmentally sensitive materials: many MFC boards in the Arkitek line are certified 0% formaldehyde.
A portion of materials are recyclable; finishes designed to last, and surfaces like Dekton committed to durability.
