Trust Desk — Poltrona Frau (Lievore · Altherr · Park)
Design & Concept
The Trust collection emerges from Poltrona Frau’s exploration of how modern work is evolving: more fluid, less hierarchical, more dialogue, and more variety between private focus and collective interaction.
Trust desks are part of a broader system (desks + self-supporting screens + storage units) that can be combined flexibly. The design language emphasizes openness, comfort, softness, organic forms, and light construction rather than heaviness or rigid formality.
Variants & Forms
Two main versions: Trust Regular (classic rectangular top with softened, tapered / rounded edges) and Trust Iconic (more dynamic, with wavy / irregular profile)
Sizes: each version comes in three sizes. There are also asymmetric options for the medium / intermediate sizes: one side supported by a leg, the other side by a storage unit or cabinet.
Additional versions include “Large” size (Iconic) that works as a meeting-table hybrid, and “Small” size (Regular) for compact personal workstations or home office settings.
Materials & Finishes
Top options: Techno-Wood TW (oak veneer with technical treatment), or tops upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather or Saddle Executive / saddle-leather. The Regular variant also offers a working pad in leather / saddle leather.
Legs likewise can be in matching wood veneer (oak TW) or upholstered in leather / saddle leather.
Edges are tapered / bevelled / rounded (no sharp corners) to enhance comfort, support posture, and give the desk a softer, more humane feel.
Functional Features
Cable management: some versions include a cable management door (a flap/toggle that allows cable routing from the top); also grommets and internal channels.
Modesty panels are available (on most sizes except the very small version) to improve privacy and visual finish.
Optionally with drawer units / storage units (on one side) in the asymmetric models. These units can be placed right or left according to layout.
Aesthetic & Experience
Trust desk gives a sense of “fluid formality”: structure that feels strong, but also approachable. The interplay of wood, leather, saddle-leather, and technical veneers make it both luxurious and warm without being over-ornate.
Its softened edges and rounded shapes promote ergonomic comfort, reducing rigid visual / physical barriers between user and workspace.
The use of high-quality materials (leather, premium veneer, well-finished edges) and craftsmanship ensure it looks refined from multiple angles. It’s not just a desk — it’s also a statement piece.
Dimensions (Examples)
Regular version (one typical size): ~ 183 × 91.5 cm × H 74 cm
Small version (compact): ~ 145 × 68 × H 74 cm
Iconic / larger versions exist for meeting desk hybrid uses.
Positioning & Suitability
Best suited for executive offices, leadership suites, or design-aware spaces where furniture plays a role in branding / impression.
Also good for contemporary workplaces that blend private desks with collaborative areas (Iconic version works especially well in bridging work + meeting).
Works well both in formal settings and “hybrid” environments (home office / office mix) given its flexible sizes and design options.
